4 Soap Flowers
This is a fun and
cute gift to make. I made flowers out of glycerin
soap. I colored
and scented 3 different batches. Poured the melted
soap into a
shallow pan (used 3 different ones for 3 soaps). When
these hardened I
cut out a tulip, a heart and a daisy like flower. I
filled a terra
cotta pot with bath bombs to act as soil. Then I put
the soap flowers
on wooden skewers (for barbequing) and used silk
leaves for the
leaves on the flowers. Then I put these in the soil. I
got my son to put
his handprints on the pot and tied a ribbon around
it.

Recipe 4 Apple
Song
This song is sung
to the tune of "b-i-n-g-o"
I know a fruit
that's good to eat and apple is its name, oh
a-p-p-l-e,
a-p-p-l-e, a-p-p-l-e
And apple is its
name.
I know a fruit
that's good to eat and apple is its name, oh
crunch-p-p-l-e,
crunch-p-p-l-e, crunch-p-p-l-e
and apple is its
name
I know a fruit

crunch-crunch-p-l-e,
crunch-crunch-p-l-e, crunch-crunch-p-l-e
and apple is its
name
I know a fruit
that's good to eat and apple is its name, oh
crunch-crunch-crunch-l-e,
crunch, crunch, crunch-l-e, crunch-crunch-
crunch-l-e
and apple is its

I know a fruit

that's good to eat and apple is its name, oh
crunch-crunch-crunch-crunch-crunch,
crunch-crunch-crunch-crunch-
crunch,
crunch-crunch-crunch-crunch-crunch
and apple is its
name.
To go along with
the song make apple cards. Make five cards with a
whole apple
(picture or drawn) on the front and the letter a, p, p,
l, and e each
written on one card. On the back of the a card put an
apple with one
bite out of it. On the back of the first p card put an
apple with two
bites taken out of it. Continue with three, four, and
five bites out of
the apple. As you sing the song have kids turn over
the apple cards
to reveal the bites.

Recipe 4 Citric
Acid 4 Bath Bombs
Here is some information
on Citric Acid, as well as where to get it:)
Citric acid:
Also Vitamin C. A
white powder extracted from the juice of citrus and
other acidic
fruits (such as lemons, limes, pineapples and
gooseberries).
It's also produced by the fermentation of glucose.
Available at
health food stores, often disguised as powdered vitamin
C, or any store
that sells home canning supplies or wine making
supplies. It acts
as a preservative - keeps the color in canned
foods, etc.

4 Dryer-Lint Modeling Material
This
is not a joke! You really can use your dryer lint to make a
recipe
for crafts. My teacher friend just sent me this, so let me
know
how yours turns out:)
3
cups dryer lint
2
cups warm water
2/3
cup non-self-rising wheat flour
3
drops oil of cloves
Old
newspapers
Directions:
Spread
newspaper out on table or counter. Put lint and water in a
large
saucepan and stir until all lint is dampened. Add flour and
stir
to prevent lumps. Add oil. Cook over low heat, stirring
constantly,
until the mixture holds together and forms peaks. Pour
out
onto newspaper to cool.
How
to use it:
Use
jars, boxes, molds, etc. You use this recipe as you would papier-mâché.
The material takes 3 to 5 days to dry.
This
material does not last long stored.
