School:
I graduated from Doland High School and Northern State University with a major in elementary education and a minor in early childhood education.
Family:
November 23, 2001, I married Tom Schoenfelder. We bought an acreage near Cavour. We have a Pomeranian named Brandy and a Border Collie/Sheltie Cross named Mitchell who keep us entertained. | |

I grew up on a farm near
Carpenter, SD with my parents Delwin and Pam Hofer and my brother Tim.
My Grandparents, Paul and Ruth Hofer and my Uncle Todd Hofer live near Doland. Aunt Mary Ann Wylie lives in Texas with her two boys, Paul and Jake. Uncle Noel Hofer farms with my dad and my brother. My Aunt Nancy Gross and her husband Delmer and Son, Shawn live in Illinois. My very precious Grandma, Anna Hofer, passed away December 29, 2003. My Grandpa Edwin M. Hofer passed away October 21, 1999.

Hobbies:
I enjoy working with children, walking, cross stitching, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, and spending time with my family.
Work:
I taught preschool, Title 1, and part-time fourth grade at Cavour Elementary for three years. I spent a summer in Aberdeen teaching Technology for Teaching and Learning in June and July of 2000 at Northern State University. In 2000-2001 school year I taught kindergarten at McKinley Elementary School in Huron. I am currently teaching all day, everyday Kindergarten at Washington Elementary School in Huron.
